[It’s a version of Bishop Berkeley’s esse est percipi – to be is to be perceived. When a rabbit disappears behind a log and then reappears, what makes us believes that it is still there when we can’t see it? Is the disappearance of the rabbit a continuity error? Berkeley solves the problem by introducing God. Who guarantees the continued existence of the rabbit when we can’t see it? It is God. God is constantly looking. – E.M.]
